This image was taken at 12:01 am during the summer solstice in Alaska. It was the only night during my 3 week camping trip that the clouds gave way to the night sky. For this brief moment, the moon happened to be rising above the distant mountains. And below it, a pebble road gave way to a beautiful sleeping brown bear.
